Propane Woes

Propane, that essential fuel of corn dryers is becoming hard to come by.  As if the lateness of the harvest were not enough we now are faced with a shortage of dryer fuel.  The problem is not supply worldwide, but transportation and distribution shortages.  It can only be trucked into the area so fast.  Combine transportation problems and a much wetter than normal fall and we will be seeing the harvest extended by an unknown amount.  Some growers are reporting a 3 day wait for fuel.  We shall see how this all plays out.
