Street corner roulette

Driving in town has become a bit of a gamble.  Most street corners have a pile of snow over 4 feet high reaching out into every intersection.

Those who are careful will approach each intersection slowly.  They inch forward and carefully cross the road.  Then there are those who race up to the stop signs and slide through each intersection risking collision at every corner.

Clearing the roads is going to take time.  The amount of snow to be moved is much greater than the amount that has already been moved.  Most streets have been narrowed by several feet.  Sidewalks in many areas are just narrow paths.  The snow removal bill this year is going to be enormous.  Some thawing weather would be welcome.
