OPM

A few days ago I commented on the government spending OPM or Other Peoples Money.  I just realized that when you say OPM it sounds like opium.  That may not be to far from the truth.  I think many government entities are drugged, on a money high.

If you sit through legislative committee meetings you start getting the feeling that some of these folks think of the funds they have as their money.  They need to remember that this is tax money that folks worked hard for.

All riches come originally from the soil.  The government may print money, but it is nothing if it is not accepted for goods and services we need.  Our most needed commodity is food.  If your money cannot buy you food, it  is worthless.

So remind your representatives not to get high on spending that OPM.  It originally came from you.
