The wind doth blow

Today’s weather news is the wind.  Things are really blowing around out here.  25 mph with 36 mph gusts most of the afternoon and into the night.

Yesterday I decided to buy the tomato and pepper plants for the garden.  Since the weather reports are good for the next few days I thought I could just as well plant them.  Now with all of this wind it may not have been such a good idea.

I have six different varieties of tomato including the usual beef master and early girl varieties.    I also have a large roma style and two yellow varieties, one large and one small.

My peppers also included six varieties.  There is the usual better bell, as well as a red and yellow bell.  I purchased a banana pepper and a mild salsa pepper.  All of this with fresh salsa in mind for this fall.

We shall see if any of my plants are alive once the wind stops blowing.
