Minnesota Farmer

30 days: Volunteering after the harvest

I’ll be away from my computer on November 7 and 9 doing something that many farmers do when not in the field, Volunteering.  Church, commodity organizations, farm groups, county and township governments all depend on volunteers, and farmers are good volunteers.  They usually come with skill sets and knowledge that would surprise you.  All that time driving up and down the field gives us time to think through problems, and even make some phone calls.  So when you are wondering who is doing all of those things that just seem to get done, perhaps it’s a farmer volunteering his time, tools and equipment to do something that is near and dear to his heart.1460232_551941724885564_255974754_n

So there you have it, this is my post for day 7 of the 30 day challenge.
